Buenos Dias people,
But technically no bueno on the lack of blogs lately. Sadly, me and joy have become both very busy, especially joy who now proudly has a job. I continue, to however, live my life as a bum till this LSAT takes place. Yes, being loser status is not fun being broke is forcing me to almost find hope in mundane things like recycling or counting pennies btw GIVE ME PENNIES!!!!! Or dollars, I do not discriminate on the money you give me, if it's a couple pesos whether from Mexico or the Philippines I will convert it but now to the meat of the story.
It has not been a good go of it of late as clearly me and joy are waiting for our distributor to get our samples done. We have our line for the season done, in terms of design but in terms of production our distributor is kinda spazzing on us. We apologize for not hitting the streets yet, but sometimes your hands our tied. I feel like it should be dope once released BUT WHEN WE RELEASE!!!
We got mad stickers, got mad ideas, and even more have a business plan but none of it means anything without samples. We promise to invade your area soon, but be patient young dragon.
For your entertainment you can find both of us on the DKS myspace and add us.. WHOOAAA
www.myspace.com/diagknowsys
or even read my personal blog @ www.elevatescribe.blogspot.com or even follow me on twitter @ www.twitter.com/triflaw
Yes, I think I'm a big deal kinda.. lol sometimes I put up coupons or something...
Joy is my hero.
Sincerely
Tri FLLEEEZZYY

April Showers Bring May....Hats.
It's currently drizzling in San Diego, that but that's not stopping DKS from working! As the title says, our hats finally should be out in May. Yes, we anticipated a launch this month, but due to the wait on our samples, May looks like the month!
Thanks to my partner for the shout-out in the previous entry: John is awesome, too!!
Speaking of Mr. Michael Jordan; I was talking to my friend about the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, and how my Dad took me there when I was 8 years old. You're probably like "Joy, wtf do you know about the game?" - Little me, grew up playing basketball. My Dad played a lot, and would always take me to the courts when he played with his friends. My parents put me in teams when I was in grade school and all the way up to middle school. High school came around and I stopped playing it in a team. Of course, I still play basketball here and there when I get a chance.
I still follow the NBA but not as much as I did when I was much younger - the days of Bird, Jordan, & Johnson - thanks to my Dad. Yes, I was maybe 4 or 5 years old when these guys played, but I do remember them. When Bird retired, he had this basketball clinic in which was then called the Boston Garden. Of course, I went and had a great time.
Why am I writing about this? Well 1. I'm watching the Celts/Sixers game and 2. I miss the days when we were much younger and things didn't matter.
BUT since I'm much older and that's not the case anymore, it's all about finding your path. There's a reason John & I chose to start this company, and part of it is to make YOU, our future consumer, HAPPY about your purchase.
These aren't your typical fitted hats..........
So until the launch, keep reading!

Stay Posted Like Mark Jackson at Point Guard

Yeah, before I get anywhere.. Anyone Remember Mark Jackson used to post up like from half court. Pissed me off, lol I hated the Knicks by far one of the douchiest teams ever assembled. You had a huge gorilla play center, a slick talking over confident shooting guard named Jon Starks, Mark Jackson turning point guard to short center and other cats like Charles Smith who would not let the high top fade die.
Sorry, I'm a Jordan Fan so any team that messed with them made me hate them. Don't get me started on the early 90's Detroit Pistons or "Bad Boys", when Dennis Rodman is considered the normal guy you got problems. The best quote I ever heard was, "Bill Laimbeer was the best defensive tackle ever cept he played professional basketball"-Mike from Indiana. Anyways I bring up the poster child for posting up at any height to say that we at DiagKnowSys are nearly done with our designs for the line and that we are just waiting for our samples to come in.. so stay posted up like a lamp..
What the hell did Paul Wall mean? That lamps are posting up all the time.. I mean technically they are but then isn't the table its also on posting up?
Well I think we done designing.. AND I THINK OUR LINE SO FAR IS HELLLLLAA DOOOPPPEEE... it's like a urine sample from Lindsay Lohan. Need I say more,if i do it's that awesome people Add our myspace (www.myspace.com/Diagknowsys). What are you not awesome?!
I think your awesome, and I'm cool making u ever more awesome.. but only if you add the myspace. Adding the myspace also keeps you from getting cancer..
I heart randomness..

SD culture

Before I study..
The peculiar case of San Diego Hip Hop and Culture... so immediately what are you thinking bout JabbaWockees, bout Jayo Felony.. and for some even Mitchy Slick? It's not like that, with a community with such a proud history of being a rival city to San Fran and LA the SD hip hop scene seems to go in a unique 4 year spectrum.
The problem is, first and foremost.. alot of cats really from here Don't rep the city... It's a sad reminder that you aren't thought of as hard unless you from LA or from Compton or some slum in the So Cal Area. It is also a city with no real connection to its own people....
If you didn't know San Diego is a commuter city filled with phat cats who moved here for the beauty, college kids, and more importantly cats retired from the NAVY. There really isn't this common struggle for a lot of SD peoples unless they reside in another city such as Escondido or El Cajon. Then at that point it becomes more viable to rep the city they actually from... hmm the 4 year theory was something Norm Rockwell at Access Hip Hop told me in passing.
There are these huge gaps in SD hip hop history.. simply because at some point the culture died. We have some of the oldest heads in guys like Blame One, Mane One, all the Southeast heads and the like.. yet then theres this period of emptiness before we get to people like Son of Ran or Castle Creeps.
It sucks man, being from the newer new school you find that in SD what also sucks is the lack of feeling of community among rappers. People don't put other people on in SD thinking that the struggle should be hard... when truly it shouldn't be we should all be happy if one of us makes it.
There is also this huge gap in style as a lot of the Southeast heads or heads in general wanna be gangster rappers. The problem is since no1 thinks we're hood they have to be especially ghetto to survive. I mean the shooting at Urban Underground San Diego was simply because the normal heads were no longer coming out. IT WAS THE SD UNITY FEST FOR GOD SAKES?! Then, we lose another venue.. most of the cats now are hella progressive and you got some of the most original styles ever.
The fact that everyone is different allows for people to be totally different in SD but also hard to call anything the "SD" Style...
One of the biggest disses in SD History.. is first that Murs said something after years with working with ACCESS hip hop which helped launch his career that "SD is not a place for hip hop".. it was also echoed in the only time that Scribble Jam held tryouts in San Diego.. if you know for a fact.. yes i was one of the participants.
The problem we seek to rectify in SD is to create the type of unity we sometimes see at these underground SD hip hop events. Everyone got their own swagger but no one should feel like they don't have the city behind their back.
DiagKnowSys is working to sponsor different hip hop events from all of the elements of rhyming, djing, breaking and graff to show that hip hop is unified.
Everyone and their mama after seeing JabbaWockees make it wants to be a dancer now, which helped kill off many other elements in SD for hip hop. The sad reality experienced by them should help to let cats know... don't let the man control you.. control your own destiny.
I have mad pride for them but at the same time.. Do you have pride for SD? Do you have pride for the city?
U go out to frisco and you'll see mad heads wearing SF hats... but rarely do I even see anyone with an SD hat unless they reppin our culture at a hip hop event.
I get it.. SD is a collection of individuals.. but since when is it cool to live somewhere and act like u live somewhere else????
Yeah your originally from LA or Nor Cal or Boston.. but where do u live now? Where do you pay taxes?
IT's long gone.. and we at DiagKnowSys want you to help SD culture stay alive.. by reppin local SD BRANDS AND STORES..
shouts to Armory, 5 and a Dime, Willy's Workshop, and all the SD brands like model sitizen, armory clothes and the like.. trying to keep u aware that we got flavor...
Please if anything look to find some SD events and rep..
cuz if hip hop leaves the city..
Then hip hop is no longer a part of your life..

Patiently Waiting
DiagKnowSys is patiently waiting for their samples to come in.
Yes, a couple of samples are in the works, and we're definitely anxious for them to arrive! They look great on paper, on the computer, and WILL also look amazing when they're rockin' on our heads. Be ready!
Once we get the samples in, that's when the fun will begin. More designs will be made, and we're going to try to strike a deal with our supplier; then talk to some stores, and hopefully hit the shelves by early next month! (Maybe even by the end of April!)
John & I are wicked pumped about this venture, and hope YOU are too!

The DiagKnowSys for having a whack day.. adding us on myspace

The title above as they would say in Clone High has to be true cuz it rhymed!!! No words, can further be exemplified by this statement young Lincoln. Honest Abe himself is famous for wearing a hat, had it somehow been bullet proof maybe things would be different and we would see Lincoln smashing out the South with his bare hands. Stovepipe hat, aside WHY HAVEN'T YOU ADDED US ON MYSPACE!
Is it because you fear total and utter awesomeness? Yes, the future is scary but had Marty McFly never taken that ride do u think we would wonder if the future is as awesome as shown. I for one, spit in the face of neigh sayers and after the street fight that occurs which inevitably ends in me sending someone to the hospital I am a victor on so many levels.
See the Myspace is just the beginning, I mean yeah if your scared we won't have anything soon maybe you should wait a couple days until we post pictures but then WHAT IF WE HAVE A GIVEAWAY?! I am not saying we will, but I am also not saying we won't.. I'm saying what's the harm in adding us.
If you ask me, if your afraid of hats or somehow think hats make u look ugly what hats have u experienced?
WE are a home grown, non mutant, SD loving.. great product. And as John Pabustan himself, I give you my word it will be of the highest quality.
Now what do u have to lose?
Right now I'm actually kind of hopped up on sugar and smashing through homework... when I checked our myspace...
seriously 9 people!!! counting me and joy!!! Now considering that we have given out stickers.. did u take one and not add us?! FOR SHAME!!! lol, but on the real if you are my friend in real life or your not.. this is what is in my heart... and soul..
so without further ado..
IM ASKING ADD THIS MYSPACE..

FOLLOW US ON THIS TOO.. i write pretty often and I can say cool things once in a while...

We Like to Sing...When Consuming Beverages
This is going to be short & sweet.
I've just returned from the Shout House located in Gaslamp. I must say, it was a great night full of singing and laughter. There was a great crowd & the music was awesome.
The pianists even had awesome stickers they would give to those who went on stage. Which reminds me:
We're out of those stickers unfortunately - but we're about to get a new batch soon, so bug us for them!
Right now, we're in the process of getting some samples in. I know a lot of you are eager and wonder where the heck are our hats .... well, be patient, they're on their way.
Alright, I am going to call this a night. I'm about to pass out after a full night of singing. Keep checking out blog/myspace. (myspace.com/diagknowsys). Goodnight!

THEY HAD A BEASTIE BOYS GAME!!!

Yesss... I am not lying.. after doing some research on one of my favorite rap groups, apparently Kaneko in early 1992 offered them a game that they would just put their name on that would feature the infamous Beastie Boys. It was a beat em up in the fashion of final fight, or a game where u ran across the screen and hit things for an inordinate amount of levels. It was never okayed cuz pretty much it was a game that they never helped develop.. From what I see the game looks phat...
Anyways, the real reason I put this up is to remind people of hip hop back in the day.. One of the first people ever to rock caps on stage.. we're the Beasties..
U may say Run DMC and LL but they wore Kangols...
AD Rock and Mike D made it popular for white kids to wear caps forward and act like their life was a frat party...
but pretty much I was always into the way Ad wore his cap forwarded but pulled the bill up almost centering his face..
yea that sounds kinda gay.. but I noticed.. SUE ME!! We at DKS want kids to have the freedom to rock caps the way that makes them feel comfortable..
the DKS formula of having the dope ish on the back is not to say.. you can't be hella original.. but really your cap says alot about you..
whether forward, backward, sideways.. we all got a story..
for me.. I just never liked rockin the hat forward.. and I actually never liked wearing it straight backwards either.. it always seemed to tight.. and I wasn't for conformity..
I rock mine to the side tellin u I'm an individual.. plus i think it makes me look doper...
We want our Fam to experiment.. Rock the cap the way u wanna rock it..If u inside out wear it inside out lol if that's possible but just work u...

PRESSSIIINNGG

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FpbXf4YHEM
Alot of people ask me.. John.. I notice that even though you don't follow alot of mainstream artists you seem to have this unbelievable propensity and high regard for Fabolous.. who is pretty much as mainstream as they come..
I always respond with... what raps are you hearing? Fab to me is the definition of "swag" he just has his own sort of style and appeal, and half the shit he does is what I wish I could do, if I had his money I would probably be like him too in all honesty.
The dope ass fitted game he rocks, the huge chains, the sunglasses, and the jackets he is a variable icon of what ya'll rappers should look like with the type of money you got. FA REAL!!! I mean and he has a swag when he flows that you just believe, like yeah I got that money and I'm still on the streets. Anyways, we getting our first presses done and the first thing I'm thinking is what would we want if anything were possible...
I hope you peeped that video at the top cuz damn.. We would want that kind of love. Fab just walks in there and buys like 8 hats just cuz he can, and one of them looks exactly like the one he is already rocking lol. I heard Fab does it all the time... and it makes perfect sense... that dude is fresh...
So pretty much if things are going the way I think they are.. expect us to hit the streets soon..
God thanks for making our dreams real, and always stay Beyond Healthy

John Pabustan with no internet = CAVEMAN!!!
Welcome my Diagnosticators it is I Tri Flaw the prince himself.. I have no idea we have to work on our fan name, possibly “patients“? Nahh, that’s stupid. well as for the many of you who may be reading a work of mine for the first time, I tend to jump around a lot as I am as A.D.D. as most of these kids come. My current focus and where I am totally absorbed for the moment… is the fact that my 3 year old computer networking modem decided to peace out on me and the fam for 3 days. Unexpectedly, or expectedly for those who follow the enigma that is John Pabustan I have resulted to becoming a caveman or Neanderthal of sorts staring at the microwave and pitying myself for not having access.
I just realized how dependent on the internet I have become over the years. In the past 3 days I have resulted to cannibalism, bartering, and trying to steal internet from the neighbors. Okay, I did not result to cannibalism but still, I think it makes ya’ll know that I’m serious. Anyways, rather than continue on my torrid path to making ya’ll think I’m never serious I would like to actually begin my saga with a few words of wisdom and a look back at DiagKnowSys the company.
Evidence of dilated peoples said “Let my birds go, let em fly away, cuz the ones that take off ain’t meant to be caged, it’s a brand new day” and really I can’t even begin to put the words together for all the relationships I just seen fall apart in my life. No, I ain’t trying to get you down but rather make you realize a friend for convenience ain’t nothing but someone who gone break your heart. I am so in tune with the people I care about, but really you can’t chose where those roads go when they suddenly take off cuz shit is just not convenient anymore. So, the real road that ended up making me chose a different path to greatness is the fact that really I was given a bum wrap in this life. Like literally a bum wrap, I’m a bum who would be wrapped in a blanket if I just didn’t stick to the mission and finds ways to survive through the system. People complain about random ish, but real talk is when you ain’t got nothing more than enough to barely find a way to get to work. If your only motivation to go to work is to make enough to just live like a bum you in some hard times, But there is no such thing as rock bottom unless u eating your shoelaces or if you just have no where to turn in your heart. I pity atheists cuz I’m like if I didn’t think there was a God, I would not even try anymore cuz shit is useless. The truth of the matter is DiagKnowSys is a sort of a line based on the idea that you a Survivor. Streets is unreal, but when someone asks you “what’s good“, and all you got is your health… I just wish u reply with “I’m beyond Healthy son”. We get in these wars where we looking at the material as oppose to the substantial but I’m trying to feed my soul right now.
You might be wondering how the hell any of that relates with a clothing line but what feeds my soul and beats the drums in my heart is Hip Hop. Not, the phony bologny shit they pass off as hip hop on tv or in commercials but the sounds of change we once saw in years past.
OKAY YEAH I GET I’M A BACKPACKER… I’m caught in the early 90s and late 80s watching public enemy tell me not to believe the police while at the same time listening to Common Sense warn me that gangster rap will bring this shit down. I was raised a fool believing that lyricism is a precursor to greatness and that to be real is more important than making money. Sadly, as it all comes together I know hip hop is dying. Cuz everybody got opinions but the one thing that revolves the world is dough. I can sit here and tell you about all the albums I listen to on a daily but five seconds later realize what I tell you about rap is flawed. Cuz you controlled by an industry out for profit, when you yourself admit you are not trying to be profitable. It is an apparent contradiction but at the end of the day it breaks down to..
CAN YOU GET UP EVERYDAY.. And say your proud or your living your dream. If you can somehow make a career of what you love, then why the hell don’t you do it. DKS was a brainchild I had for a long time as this imaginary hat line I would have if I blew up as this mega star emcee.
To this day, if you ask me what I’m going to do with my life… IMMA TELL U IMMA MAKE MUSIC and live through hip hop. The problem is it ain’t that smart a move but you get one life and IMMA LIVE IT LIKE A CHAMPION. DKS was one of my dreams but dreams are nothing without any follow through so I hit up Joy randomly and we just put it together cuz we felt that passion. YOU GOTTA HAVE THAT DRIVE..
Anyway the real reason I’m writing this blog is cuz I’m lame… I can sit here and lie to you about who I am as I know sometimes being arrogant is coveted…
I come to you bringing my cross of humbleness but rather then be stupid.. I’d like to thank pretty much everyone I met in college as the other day at my old school I saw the love I wish I could have again.. And more importantly I gotta name drop like 5 thousand to some of the people I saw the other day..
Well pretty much I was reaaalllyy ghetto.. Lol and my first days at USD were spent becoming unghetto and judgmental.. Here are the most significant things that came to my mind when I was at USDs PCN before I got hella faded.. BEER PONG MONSTER.. Yea Mark carried me.. To the championships!!
To make sure I don't forget anyone Imma just name the 5 most influential people I saw yesterday....
Nicole C. I think you are the one person who was not only my mentor but the person I wanted to be.. I love you ate...
Erline... I know we started out bad cuz I thought u were hella fake cuz I didn't think anyone would want to step up to a stranger and act like we were close friends.. but you are the one person I consider my best friend from then on.. I miss you
Monee Dulay.. yes you are my favorite.. I tried to hide it while you spoke to Cody but dang i HEART YOU.. you mean the world to me cuz your always down with my craziness..
My Two Adings.. This is really a cop out as theres two of you that I need to mention but only 5 slots.. you make me real proud to see you everyday
and Brian Barbosa... I needed a guy.. and you are the guy among guys.. cuz your a cool guy and your awesome..
worrddnnesss.. shower time INTERNET BACK UP!!
OMG I need to say 6 people.. I love Agnes Castillo she is awesome and one of the realest people I have ever met in my life.. i hella heart her..
and of course joy but I thought that was a given

Fits for the Headless Horsemen
Hey world, I can't believe I'm saying this but as one of the co-owners and head haunchos at this DiagKnowSys revolution allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Pabustan, aka Tri Flaw and for some of you the title Prince of Thieves is still pertinent. But my terrible terrible terrible rap game aside, Thank you for tuning into my dreams.
Thank you for blessing the page, and seeing how the Lord sprung us out the ashes. We be loyal till the day we come Home, at least I stay true.
Anyways ya'll gotta stay "beyond healthy" it's a mindset, literally it's a fashion statement. We at DiagKnowSys want you to know that you just "goooodd!!" Feel me? lol, probably not but to keep the somber mentality of the emo kid from crossing your mind we want you to know that they ain't nothing wrong with being broke. Really, their ain't nothing wrong with being hungry.. you just do you and rep the movement.
DKS comes from the idea you got diagnose and know the system to survive. Yes, truly the theoretical "Man" has been keeping us down for centuries but we on the up and up... A BLACK MAN IS PRESIDENT...THAT'S HELLA PROGRESSIVE. We should be lining the streets applauding change but we too busy looking at the past. The system is not designed in our favor, but we can take advantage by dissecting the system and pulling ourselves out the weeds...I'm being too preachy..
BUT ALL IN ALL.. we living the dream trying to use this free enterprise to free the mind and rep all that is good in the world. Hip Hop Saved my Life, so WHY CAN'T IT SAVE MY DAILY, and why can't I give back.
I'm beyond Healthy, able bodied and ready to go.. and now all we need is the streets on watch...
JOY WE DID IT!!
but as Nas says "my success to you even if you wish me the opposite, sooner or later you will all see who the prophet is"
